Hello!

I had the same problem with the MM2. I could move the pointer but it did not go right or left click. Have a reset of the mouse performed, tried on another Mac.

Nothing worked!

Then I disassembled the mouse according to ifixit instructions and, as in step 7, disconnected and reconnected the data cable.

And the mouse works again like the first day!

I hope I can help some users with the info, because I found nothing on the Internet.

Thanks, I can select with the trackpad as long as the Apple mouse is disconnected. I am using a cheap external mouse and getting by. I think the Apple mouse is my problem. At $75 I'm going to have to make do with the off-brand mouse. It has made me become more proficient with the trackpad.
