Is there a PRAM battery to replace?

When the main battery runs down, the date and time frequently resets to the default values. Often a complete restart is required to get the iBook operating correctly.

Options

There is no PRAM battery in your iBook G4. There is a capacitor on the logic board that holds a small charge to retain the date and time when changing the battery and lasts for about 20 seconds.
