Backlit On keyboard and display issue

Hi new here. Broke my laptop a couple Of months ago. I just installed a new trackpad yesterday and a new battery. After installing the items I turned on the computer the thing booted however the screen got a drop in lighter in color but was a black screen. There is a possibility I dropped the computer once again I haven’t used it in several months. I went to a local computer store today and was suggested to plug the computer into a monitor and see if it boots because I wasn’t sure if it was a display issue or logic board issue since I know the graphics card is on the logic board. The computer boots successfully in the process of getting a mouse and keyboard so that I can get past the set up screen. After looking around on the forums I saw a couple of people with an issue but not with the specific issue I can tell you the Apple logo is full brightness on the top of the computer. Also the keyboard work but the back light does not not sure if the back light on the keyboard doesn’t come on until After the CPU boots into os. The screen looks relatively fine however when the computer is off I could see a light circle imperfection on the screen. Hoping I can get some information and if I left anything out that’s pertinent please let me know. Thank you in advance for your help. Also there is a chance some water spilled on keyboard when the computer was off and wasn’t powered on until I did he device yesterday and there were no signs of liquid in the motherboard area the batery was completed shot when spill may have occurred not sure if I am remembering it correctly or not.

Liquid damage is a real problem. If it occurred, and no matter if the liquid dried in the meantime, it could have caused shorts and corrosion of traces and components. Having said this, have you tried the usual stuff such as SMC and PRAM reset? SMC = while the charger is plugged in, press simultaneously shift+ctrl+alt keys and power button and keep them pressed for 5-10 secs, release them and try to switch the machine on. PRAM = power up the machine and press cmd+alt+p+r on the keyboard before the boot chime. Keep the keys pressed until you hear the chime 2 or 3 times, then release the keys and let it boot. Good luck.
