MacBook Pro liquid damage

I brought the MacBook in UK and I am not pretty sure about the configuration as the Mac is not starting. But, its serial number is C2QLW00DFFT1

I am in India right now and I took it to the Apple store and they said that due to liquid damage the motherboard need to be replaced and it would cost around $1500 for the part and repair. To confirm if it's really a liquid damage and motherboard needs to be replaced, they were asking additional $200

I am wondering if it really cost that much?

What are the other options to really identify what exactly the issue is

Considering that it is a motherboard issue / what is the exact part number / how much it would cost and where can i buy it
