Why does my iPhone 5s take a week to turn on again after it dies

Whenever my iPhone 5s dies it takes a week to turn on again and when it is on it always needs to be on the charger does anybody know how to fix this?

Options

If you haven't already, I would replace the battery with a good quality OEM equivalent replacement to see if that'd help.
