The device stops charging after hight power consumption
Hi :)
I am trying to understand why an Iphone 5c could stop charging while doing a huge power consumption.
I had two study cases:
- the phone was used as GPS while driving into an unknown city. The phone was connected to the car power and so charging while executing a famous GPS app. After a while, the phone stopped to charge, the power supply became undetected. and the phone shutdown a few minutes after arriving at destination, the day was saved!
- second case, the phone was used to listen music on youtube connected on a 4G network and traveling in a very high speed train, so the mobile relay changed really often. The phone was connected to a powerbank. After a while, the phone stopped to charge, the power bank became undetected. And the phone shutdown a few minutes after arriving. Again the day was barely saved
In both cases, the phone was a little warm at the end, but nothing unusual. Several hours were needed before being able to charge the phone again and starting it up.
It really looks like a protection mechanism against a too high power consumption, if it is really the case, apple engineer really underestimate the power circuit of the phone, and they weren't in a smart day when doing their computation. But I think it could also be a failure from the power circuit or event the battery itself. Has anyone has similar issue? and if yes how did you solve it ?
Thanks for any answer ;)
Is this a good question?

Do you have it synced to a Mac or PC to run diagnostics?
