Why is my hinge slightly misaligned, even when I haven't dropped it?

Hi,

I've owned my MacBook Pro 2015 for just under 10 months now, and I hadn't had any issues with it at all.

However, just recently, I've noticed that my hinge is slightly misaligned on the front, both sides and the back. The left side (based on if you are looking at it straightly) slighly overlaps; the front is slightly moved in too much; and the right side is also moved in slightly. On the back (left side), it slightly overlaps (on metal just beside black hinge), while on the back (right side), it is moved in too much.

This problem shocks me a little, because I haven't dropped my computer, nor have I done anything to it that could cause such a problem.

So, if any of you have had a similar problem, are there any solutions? Is there something I might be doing subconsciously that is making this happen?

Any replies are greatly appreciated.

Blake

Use this guide to get to the three screws that secure the display on each hinge. Loosen them slightly, align the screen, then tighten them down. MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Display Assembly Replacement
