When I close my lid the screen does not turn off

For some reason when i close the lid the screen stays on. I have to put it to sleep before closing the lid. I heard it could be the magnets. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Here's the magnet you need to activate the Reed switch to put it to sleep: http://www.weloveMacs.com/9227930.html

Have you been into the machine? Slide a paperclip along the bezel bottom to locate the magnet in the bezel. Placing a magnet on the top case in the correct position will "sleep" the display. Being a magnet, it will attach anywhere if knocked out of position. I've found screws stuck to it. Here's a picture for the location of the magnet and switch: http://blog.gregfiumara.com/?p=34
