my phone was drained in water for about 15 seconds and i didnot go for any post recovery methods (putting it in a rice bag)
now when i switched it on it gets a network coverage as well as display works
but when i remove the charger the phone automatically turns off
i ve tried replacing the battery as well as the ic chip but it didn't work out
this is a 16 GB model
please help ??

You REALLY need to open the phone, either take metal shield off very carefully from motherboard( or immerse for a few minutes) and inspect for corrosion and debris from the water.clean in isopropyl alcohol with soft brush or if you think it's beyond your comfort zone immerse board and agitate it gently tobremove debris. Most times your problem is battery, next is dock, then motherboard. Cleaning your phone is going to give it the best chance of longevity- water leaves residue (often white or green like webs or dust)which shorts parts or continues to corrode. Leave phone to dry for a few hours then I'd install a new dock. If that doesn't work then the damage to the motherboard is a bit beyond our general tool/skill set and you'll have to take it to a specialist or sell on eBay. Hopefully the dock will cure the problem. Good luck

new problem
the display light automatically goes off to minimum, not even minimum, its just zero lke no disply light, display is working but no display LIGHT
apart from that the phone is working really well
Is the light on at all?did it work before the clean? Or just very faint? It coulld be the LCD needs replacing, reclean no 1 or the backlight coil. Try cleaning, if you haven't already replaced the LCD, then that would be next.
i ve already replaced the display, after d water damage, its anew display!
yeah light is on for a minute, then goes off for another minute, then you do some random stuffs it again turns on, no typical pattern
it goes off and on
yeah before a clean it worked
