Replaced screen not working

I replaced my screen, it worked fine until I snapped it into the casing now it stays black

Assuming you've plugged it into a computer and checked if it shows up in itunes:

Check that the LCD cable didn't jump out of place and disconnect and reconnect it again making sure you feel it click into place.

If it's still black despite that try another screen as you might have damaged the cable during reassembly.

Going even beyond that you could have damaged the Backlight IC on the motherboard but that would be the last thing to check.
