I can change an IDE DVD burner for a SATA?

I have a Power Mac G5 to 1.6 Mhz and I want put a SATA DVD burner, I can do this?

Yes, but you'll have to add a SATA BUS connection. That can be done with a Sonnet Tempo Serial ATA PCI host adapter Card. Here's one: http://www.sonnettech.com/product/tempo_...
