Upgrading memory? Why no guide?

I'm interested in upgrading the memory on my Apple MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.0 15" Late 2013 from 8GB to 16GB, but I don't see a guide created for this. Is this because it is not user upgradeable, soldered to the machine or something like that?

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Sorry, just not possible to upgrade later as the RAM is soldered to the logic board.

Standard RAM: 8 GB* Maximum RAM: 16 GB*

Details: *8 GB of RAM is onboard by default, but it could be upgraded to 16 GB at the time of purchase for an extra US$200. RAM cannot be upgraded later.
