Why isnt the audio jack working?

I try connecting my headphones to the audio jack or well the entrance of the headphones, and it doesnt appear to be connected nor produce any sound on headphones

First check the audio buttons on your laptop to make sure the sound is not too low or muted. I sometimes clumsily forget that some FN key + audio button disables audio too. Have you tried your laptop with other headphones? If the same problem occurs, it is likely your audio drivers stopped working.

I am not entirely sure, because I've only worked on a couple of these, but I think the audio jack is just worn out. This seems to be a common problem for this laptop. If nothing is jammed in it, and it just feels loose, your next best option may be to buy a USB to audio jack adapter.

possbily a cold solder joint on the speaker jack, a bad speaker Jack….eather way you will have to remove the mother board to check
