Battery seems to have melted and is stuck within the phone? What do I

I tried to install a new battery in my iPhone 5s. Seems the old battery has melted enough to cause it to be stuck within the phone. I have been unable to get it out of the phone to put in the new battery. Suggestions?

Answer this question I have this problem too

The battery melted? What happened to cause that?

The battery is secured to the frame by two strong strips of adhesive. You can see the tabs attached to the end of the battery. Have you tried to remove these? It's fairly difficult to remove the battery on the 5S without a good amount of heat.

The tools that come with the replacement battery are useless. There are two tabs at the bottom of the battery that are connected to the adhesive behind the battery.

With some heat applied to back housing and some skill you should be able to pull down on these to release the adhesive. There are probably a few videos on youtube demonstrating this if you need a visual. But chances are if this is the first time, they'll rip, and you'll need to just use a pry tool and a lot of force to remove it.

Not an easy task! But definitely check out a couple videos or tutorials on it before you attempt
