Is there a reset button?

My Whirlpool electric built-in oven, Model RBS245.

Ran it through the self-clean cycle. Upon completion it would not release the oven door. Also, all LED's are blank.

No Power!

Is there a reset button?

Update (08/27/2017)

Thanks, Mayer

I didn't make myself clear. My oven is a Whirlpool, model rbs 245 and at conclusion of the self cleaning cycle, all power went off. No lights on the LED panel. The door remained locked. No power and the door remains locked.

Don't know what to do to get it going. Is there a reset button somewhere?

How do I disengage the constant beeping on whirlpool double wall oven

by

@kellyrsmith

What is the model number of the oven?

I purchased a house with a Whirlpool above the stove microwave. Earlier the fan on my microwave came on. It's been on for over an hour. How can I turn it off? Model #WMH55520CS 7

@Bea Dubec

Please confirm the "model" number of the microwave oven as the number you posted shows no results when searching for it? It's not the serial number is it?

If the GE microwave oven won't start, you can reset it. You can also reset it if the cooking time you enter is wrong and you want to change it or the time of day on the clock is wrong. Other resets include a reset when child lock "Control Locked" appears on the display. Power surges like nearby lightening can cause the oven to stop working as a safety measure, but you can reset it easily.

Step 1

Press the "Off/Clear' button to cancel anything on the display, and reset the microwave. This is a soft reset and will simply get you out of any program you have started. Press it when the cooking complete reminder appears on the display, for example, and the "Your Food is Ready" message will disappear.

Step 2

Press the "Off/Clear' button for three seconds to turn the "Control Locked" child lock off.

Step 3

Reset the cooking program if "Off/Clear" was pressed accidentally. For example, press the "Defrost" button again, and turn the dial to select the defrost time you want again. Press "Start."

Step 4

Perform a hard reset. Pull the plug out of the wall power supply, and wait a moment. Plug the GE microwave back into the wall power supply to reset any anomalies with the microwave's memory. You will need to reset the time of day if you perform a hard reset.

Step 5

Reset the time of day. Press the "Clock" button, and turn the dial to set the hours. Press the dial to enter. Follow the same procedure for the minutes and a.m. or p.m. Press the "Start" button to start the clock.
