How to recover my photographs as I have dropped it in the sea?

Basically , stupid idea I know I was taking photographs in the sea and dropped my phone . As soon as I had dropped it I instantly retrieved it . However when I went to turn it on the screen was black with red lines all over it . However my battery was really low anyway . It has been drying for 2 days and have tried to charge it with no luck . However I have had my sim card out and put it in another phone and works perfectly . I just wondered if there was anyway of retrieving the photographs I had taken while on holiday .

Just wondered if anyone knew how I could fix it ?

Salt water is the worst water to drop a phone in.

From the first seconds of interaction of salt water and electricity it results oxydation which damages the small components on your iPhone motherboard.

First thing to do in the case of a water damaged phone is to open it and disconnect the battery (this will slow down the corrosion), to displace water from underneath different components use 99% alcohol / isopropyl and then try to dry everything off.

Try this procedure before trying to power on or charge your device.

If the phone is still not turning on after this try to find a shop near you specialized in microsoldering and data recovery to get your photos.

Trying to power on and charging the phone without proper removal of the water inside the phone will result in more damage to the phone to the point on no return :(
