Late 2011 and mid 2010 MacBook Pro 13 parts swapping?

Hello,

I have a faulty keyboard and a screen in my 13" Macbook Pro (late 2011)

I was thinking if it would be possible to fix mine with parts from another mid 2010 Macbook Pro. Both are A1278 models but with different EMC.

Sadly the 2011 models use a different upper case assembly Vs the older 2010 model

Here's the IFIXIT guide you'll need to follow: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Late 2011 Upper Case Replacement in the same process you can also swap out the display assembly.

For the display assembly:

Sadly it too won't work as Apple changed things here as well ;-{

I suspect given what you are asking your system got a good bang which damaged both parts.

Thanks Dan for you time and reply. It's better to get over it. My son stepped over mine Macbook and poured water over her mom's mac. Accidentally though but will make him pay once he starts earning. Thanks again.
