How can I revive a soaked phone?

my lg xcam fell on a toilet for a whole 1 minute. when i took and washed it, it's obviously dead. no lights and everything. i immediately dried it with a tissue but i can't do that 1st aid uncooked rice remedy since i was out. when i got home after an hour i immediately put it in an uncooked rice. (you can't remove any of its parts except the sim and sd card pocket). i need help because i dunno if im doing the right thing. do you guys think that i can revive it? if so, how many days should you think i need to bury it in an uncooked rice?

may_rebosura skip the rice! It does not do anything to help you with your phone. It does not work!

Just like any other submersion, it is a bit of a guessing game as in how your phone will respond to a proper cleaning. The importance right now is to not turn it on, or trying to sync/charge it. Remove the battery, and disassemble your phone to the logic board. Use this video to at least get you into the phone. Clean everything with isopropyl alcohol (90%+) and a soft brush, including all connectors and cable ends. Check for any burned or missing components. You may have to repeat this step a couple of times. Use this guide to see how to clean it properly. It was written for an Apple iPhone but all the points are still pertinent to your phone as well. Once it is cleaned, reassemble it and replace the battery, then reevaluate for any real damage. Right now, everything will only be a guess, and the longer you wait the more corroded it will get.
