you need to purchase a dock connector for the correct generation of your phone and then follow the guide.
links are provided on the right of this screen (under the photo of the phone)
None of the generations of iphone have the same or interchangeable dock connectors.
you may see just the flex for sale on ebay but there is no guide for that here.
