Front camera and speaker not working

I recently took my iPhone 5 to the local repair shop to fix a broken (but usable) screen.

The screen was replaced and everything seemed to be working fine so I paid the shop for the job.

As soon as I got home I noticed my front camera was not working anymore. I then try to call the shop and notice that the "internal" speaker is not working correctly as well, the sound is very low so you cannot hear anything even on max volume.

I believe the shop has shorted my iPhone somehow but they are now refusing to provide assistance, claiming that I handed them a broken iPhone in the first hand.

Can anyone please clarify on what may have caused this problem, since I am 100% sure it was working fine before I took it to the shop?

I have been told by a friend that it may have been caused by a faulty/shorted IC?

Thank you in advance.

EDIT: The screen is occasionally experiencing ghost clicks as well...

Sounds like they have damaged the front camera flex cable which is stopping that from coming on.

The earpiece sounds like it's not in the correct position, my guess is instead of sitting in the rubber gasket, it's squashed against the wall of it stopping the sound coming out as it should.

The ghost touch will be from the quality of LCD they have used.

Take it back and demand they sort the issue.

Poor craftsmanship on their behalf in my opinion.
