Sorry, you'll want to get the VESA mount model.

So far none of the 'Thin Series' offer a user removable foot. The iMac Pro slideware at WWDC implied it will offer a removable foot. But we'll need to wait to see if it ends up being true.

Update (11/21/2021)

The only way to get a VESA mount 27” iMac is to order it explicitly, you can’t really alter things later.

The complete system needs to be taken apart to replace the foot stand and you need quite a few parts.

Sorry guy this was true with the 2011 iMac and the displays. With the 2012 models and newer Apple altered the design preventing the use of the Apple VESA kit.

Only with the intro of the iMac Pro did Apple re-introduce the older design for the foot assembly. So only that model has a removable foot without taking the system fully apart.

Yes, but this is a site dedicated to taking these things apart. There are already guides for servicing all kinds of things Apple hasn’t made convenient. If there were anywhere that could put a guide together to remove this inconvenient foot, this is the place.
