That could be the digitizer cable or the lcd cable.

Is a little bit hard to find the cable only ussually they are sold with the digitizer or the Lcd.

The cable is soldered not glued.

For you would be more economically feasible to buy another screen assembly and replace the broken one.

All this if you did not broke the connectors on the motherboard also

You must be referring to the front camera cable that has copper (Black cover) adhesive that goes with the front camera assembly ribbon cable and the back metal plate you install behind the screen.

You can buy the replacement rear camera assembly here on iFixit, note that the black copper sticker is not needed for functionality of the front camera or screen.

Here is a guide to replace the front camera:

thats what ive read, but since i severed that cable the phone is acting a little weird. I read that the cable functions as a physical ground. And the new battery is kind of swelling. how can i post a jpg of the piece?

thanks by the way!

The damaged front camera cable itself can interfere with the touch screen working properly.

Upload the photo to a image hosting website like imgur then paste the shared link here.

The iPhone housing isn't dented or bent in any way right? In corners?
