waihong yeung for ceramic tiles use a 50:50 mix of Borax and lemon juice and apply to the stained area. Leave it there for a couple of hours. After that ,use a pumice stone to remove the stain.

A mild solution of hydrochloric acid will also do it.

Here's one over the counter product: Bull Frog Rust Remover there are others, or you can get muriatic acid and dilute it down 1 to 10 of water (water in the container first)

Do make sure you have acid proof gloves and face/eye protection as well as work in good ventilated areas either mixing or using.

muriatic acid is hydrochloric acid - HCL

muriatic acid just has more contaminants in it

There are many ways to do this. I'm not quite sure what the scenario is, perhaps taking some photos would help.

I can provide several solutions to remove rust from the nails. First I'd try steel wool. Scotch bright pads can be equally or more effective. If it needs a deeper clean, a wire wheel on a Dremel or drill will certainly get it off. If you're in a situation where that is to obtuse, perhaps soaking the nails in citric acid would cut it. There are other solutions I can provide if these won't work.

Hope this helps!
