Error 14 after faulty home button repair
Hi,
So I've had my iPhone 6s about a year, the glass on the screen worked loose a few weeks ago, then a couple of days ago, I dropped it and the glass pretty much fell off, with it tearing the flex cable from the original home button between the point where it connects to the longer home button cable, so yesterday I took the phone apart fixed the glass back on and fitted a new home button. (I'm aware of the 'No Touch ID' issue doing this.). When I went to turn it back on, it displayed the iTunes logo and tells me to connect to iTunes to restore my phone, so I did that, then it gets to around 20% and my MacBook freezes up for about 20 seconds, then starts working again with iTunes telling me I've got an unknown error (14). I've tried it about 8 times, with different usb cables, etc. I've also tried deleting and re downloading the update file. Also checked iTunes for updates as I can't seem to uninstall and reinstall it. Nothing seems to be working. Is it a fault with the phone or with iTunes? I've done 5 screen fixes before and never had this issue.
Thanks in advance.
Is this a good question?
