When I can turn it on, it turn it off again
Hi!
I have an iPhone 5S and it suddenly turned off (backlight on) and to turn it on again I needed to press the power + home button for some seconds. This worked for several days until it was almost impossible to turn in on again.
Because I was thinking this was a software problem I connected the iPhone to iTunes to be able to restore it but for some reason it was always turning off while restoring giving an error related to USB disconnection. I tried on multiple computers (2 Windows and 1 iMac) with multiple cables but the problem was the same until in the next day, after a lot of tried I was able to restore the iPhone but even before I was able to pass to Welcome screen it turned off again (only backlight) and refused to turn on again.
After some research online I found that the problem could be the battery, so I ordered a battery replacement kit on ifixit and it arrived yesterday.
I successfully replaced the battery but the problem is still there.
I believe that when the phone is with the black screen but with the backlight on it is in DFU mode because iTunes can recognize it in recovery mode. Now it keeps rebooting from the blackscreen to apple logo and blackscreen again until it gives up and turn off.
I read somewhere on this forum that it could be a problem with the charging dock connector that costs around 1.90€
Can this solve the problem?
What can it be?
Thanks in advance!
Is this a good question?
