After replacing new glass and lcd touchscreen is not working properly.

Dropped the ipod touch and cracked the glass. Bought replacement parts and installed following ifixit guides.

After putting it back together I can not Slide to Unlock. When I slide across I only get touch recognition a little bit, the button slides maybe a quarter of the way before popping back.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I opened it up and double checked everything. Seems like everything was connected right but I pressed them down and double checked. When I turned it on everything worked. I also read a really simple tip of just restarting the ipod touch which i hadn't done until I opened it the second time. Maybe could have fixed it easily.

Tip for anyone: make sure you fold up the digitizer cable the right way or it could crack your LCD screen when you try to press it back in. These LCDs are so fragile.

I'd open it back up again and make sure nothing's disconnected, you may have left the digitizer cable loose.

You'd better open it over! Make sure every wire is connected! And if its not... Try with another spare!

I changed the lcd/digitizer yesterday and have the same problem! I will try and restart although I think i already did but can't remember. If not I'll check the connections to see if it fixes the problem. thanks for updating that question!

i also have this problem, all my ribbons are connected tightly in place, it may depend on where you got your screen from, cause if there is a fault with the screen it may short out the whole thing, my laptop does not register my ipod when connected via usb.
