Touch ID replacement question

I'm getting into repairs and I've done plenty of 5 and 5c's never done a 5s so my question really is if i replace the screen with a new one and put my old original button with cable on the new screen will Touch ID still work or perhaps not

Yes, to maintain TouchID capability, you must transfer the original, TouchID enabled Home Button.

Just be very careful removing the button it to damage the flex cable. Once damaged, Touch ID will be lost forever. Happy repairing!
