After Lightning Port replacement the device will not turn off

Has anyone had an issue with the iPhone 5s staying powered up after replacing the lightning port? The phone charges now but will not respond to pressing the power button to shut down. Any suggestions?

That is pretty weird. Sounds like you got a faulty Lightning dock. Ask your retailer for an exchange

Thanks iMedic. I ordered a new lightning port. I'll let you know whether that fixed it or not.

Well if the home button is technically stucked in engaged mode due to a faulty charging port (or even faulty home button the other way around), it can do that, though it would do the screenshot flash thing.
