Why the Nintendo DSi powers up for a second then shuts off?

Battery is fully charged, but the device powers up for a second then shuts off.

has the unit been droppedt? If it has the top screen is busted or the power fuse has been broken off the motherboard and requires it to be resoldered on. If neither of the these has happened then the top screen has went bad and needs replaced.

Check the power fuse. If broken it prevents the DSi from coming on. http://m3wiki.com/index.php/Nintendo_DS_... shows you what to look for and how to do it....Good luck
