Spam folder for texting

When you add a number to spam inbox so text messages go there, how long do they stay in there? Do they remain in the spam text message folder until I delete them, or do they automatically delete after a certain amount of days, or certain amount of times after restarting the phone because I had a number in spam and they tried to message me..I didn't know at the time there was a folder it went to but when I checked it they weren't there

I think the spam mail get stored in a folder and then you can delete the folder.

No, that isn't how it works. For one thing, the spam folder is fixed (can't delete it), and another, even if you could delete it there would be nowhere to put your spam texts!

Hi George. I did have someone trying to text me but they were in my spam numbers. When I went to the spam folder to view them they were not there so I tried it with a friend and their text was there. So I'm thinking after so long it automatically must delete them

I actually wasn't aware that you could view spam messages I just thought they were bumped. So when I finally did see that you could..that person's messages were not in the spam folder and maybe a month or so had gone by and I did not delete the messages myself.
