Could I put a 2.13GHz logic board in a 2.1GHz Penryn?

So I am getting this 2.1ghz Penryn with a broken LCD to fix. If I get a 2.13ghz logic board and put it in this, would it work so el captain can be installed? Could I install el captain by just removing PlatformSupport.plist?
