Water Damage to Note 3 an year back. Is it possible to revive it?

Dropped my phone in a pool an year back. Put it in a rice bag. Didn't work so moved on to another phone. While researching noticed quite a few people got their phone working again. I have opened the back cover but i am not able to see if there is any water damage and if yes then to what components?

Update (04/16/2017)

Thanks for the guide. I have just performed a teardown and dunked the components in isopropyl alcohol . However, while removing the components, i broke a thin portion of the end of the USB charging strip. Therefore i did not completely remove the USB module and the vibrator motor part from the board. I have right dunked these components attached with the board. Do you think i need to replace the USB charging strip? Also, is there a way to identify if my old battery works or not?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi, even though it has been an year, there may be a chance to get it back, but I believe that in such a long time, the water may have potentially done its damage.

Whenever an electronic device such as and iPhone or Galaxy undergoes water damage, the first and immediate thing to do would be to do a quick teardown of your phone and cleaning each and every part with 90-99% isopropyl alcohol (you can buy this from your local pharmacy or online) and a soft brush. Immediately after, I'd strongly recommend that you change your battery as battery damage is a common occurrence in water damaged phones. I've linked a teardown here.
