deadset no function at all...charging is good

why no power everytime i press the power button .........but the charging is good whats wrong with my unit? please give me some advise...................

More details please. What model is this, this will be on the bottom where all the white text is, it will be an AXXXX number (XXXX are the numbers following the A). Does the light on the charger stay green or go orange and after a while go green. was any liquid spilled or was it dropped before this occured. There is many things with the info you give, please give more

You'll have to go a little more than that for us to give you an accurate solution. Did you spill liquid as Cameron asked? Has it been dropped? These questions with an answer provided should give us a little better understanding of what it isn't. Have you tried a SMC reset? Have you opened the computer up to see if theres any corrosion or anything look burnt on the Logic Board? Let us know and we will try and help you out best we can.

Try an SMC reset:

Connect the power adapter to the Mac. On the MacBook / Pro's keyboard, hold down the Shift+Control+Option keys and the Power button at the same time. Release all keys and the power button at the same time – the little light on the MagSafe adapter may change colors briefly to indicate the SMC has reset.
