Device refuses to charge

So my magicbox ii out of the blue refuses to charge. It shows a red light when plugged in, but will not turn on with or without the cable plugged in. I have tried two different USB cables, both which work on other devices, and both have the same result.

camero2734 , May be a faulty battery. The battery, cable/charger or charge port may be faulty damaged. Look in the charge port and blow/pick out(carefully) any dust/debri that may be causing an issue also look in the port for any bent pins and straighten very carefully with a tooth pick. Try one more time a different compatible charger/cord to see if that is the issue. If different compatible charger/cord does not fix and port looks/test good, the battery or connection could be bad, if able to clean battery connections and reconnect/install battery, still not charging battery probably faulty. The link below can get you inside the device to check connection issues and enable you to reseat them to ensure good contact. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

L Pfaff,

I have checked and no pins are bent and everything is connected internally. Something weird occurs that i forgot to mention. When I plug it in, the red light comes on but then will automatically turn off randomly after a bit. I have to unplug and replug the usb adapter (either from the wall or from the speaker) to get the red light to come back on. If I try turning on the speaker, the blue light will come on for a fraction of a second and turn off. Does this narrow down what could be wrong?

camero2734, I think I would opt. for a new battery if all else looks OK.

L Pfaff,

Where can I find a replacement battery at?

camero2734, you may have to actually get the #'s off the battery and do a search or the battery spec's/size, as I did try a search using (DKnight MagicBox II 2000mAh battery) and found nothing. Good luck.
