What do I need to replace to get this working again?

I have a macbook air 2013 13 inch. It's been through a liquid spill. I've removed the bottom panel and inspected for liquid damage and found thing obvious.

I can get the computer to boot but it's some weird reproduction steps

1) unplug the battery back from the logic board

2) wait a few seconds for any remaining charge to dissipate

3) place cover back on the macbook air (without screws)

4) turn over, open up, plugin in

5) magsafe starts green then switches to amber.

6) press the power button, magsafe, which was amber, now turns to green, then back to amber (doesn't turn on, but fan spins up and then back down)

7) repeat 6 a few more times...

8) press the power button again (boots)

9) once booted into OSX the keyboard and trackpad are dead.

The above steps I've reproduced at least a dozen times.

I was thinking something might be going on with the daughter board that controls power and audio.

Has anyone else see similar issues?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Thorough Diagnostic – Any MacBook that is exposed to liquid requires a thorough inspection, even a small amount of corrosion untreated can cause a system failure further down the road.

Inspect Keyboard and Track Pad for ANY corrosion or sticky residue – If found a keyboard or track pad replacement is recommended.

small amounts of corrosion like this can cause a keyboard or track pad to fail

Inspect Main LogicBord for any sign of liquid exposure. This should be done with a high powered stereo microscope, each SMD component should be checked for any signs of damage. If damage is found logic board should be cleaned ultrasonically and damaged SMD components replaced.

here is an idea of what your looking for.

All display connections and wiring should be throughly inspected, any sign of liquid exposure and the display replacement recommended.

Data Integrity – Data integrity should be checked and re checked. In the vast majority of cases data is not effected. If corrosion is present on SSD or HD replacement is recommended.

After you have cleaned and repaired the logic board you will need to begin the process of finding out what works and what needs to be replaced,

keyboard

trackpad

trackpad/keyboard flex cable

battery

I/O board

SSD

their are plenty of great tutorials available for replacing keyboards after MacBook water damage , the challenging part will be main logic board. Depending on the age of the unit a replacement can be purchased for around $300
