fuel gauge erratic behavior

Occasionally my fuel gauge jumps left to right and right to left, then resets to correct position.

@lollygirl, David , Check the wiring/plug by the tank to see if loose/dirty/corroded and if able to check ground wire and loosen and retighten to make good connection, if all looks good the in tank fuel sending unit may be faulty or a bad actuator at the fuel gauge on your dash. .
