Why is my iPhone not turning on

when i try to turn it on without the charging cable in it, it doesn't turn on it is just black but when i try to charge it it shows the apple logo for a second then shut right back off and keeps doing this.

I have dropped it a couple of times

When you plug it into the charger, press and hold the home button when you plug it in. It should show a iTunes logo and a cable. Make sure it is plugged into a computer. Restore it in iTunes and see if it works then. If that doesn't work try this guide: http://www.jailbreakmodo.com/iphone-5s-d...

What does it do? Go back to the bootloop? If you did it correctly, the screen should be black. iTunes would also detect it as a phone in recovery mode.

Connect your device to your pc and then launch 3uTools, and then try to enter DFU mode. If 3uTools detects that your iPhone is on DFU mode, you can easy flash your device.
