Dead battery after replacement

I just purchased the replacement battery from ifixit for my macbook air A1369. Following the guide, I changed the battery without problem. I then turn it on after charging for an hour while the light on the charger is green.

The system tells me the battery is 99% charged.

Condition: Replace Now

Battery Is Charged

Power Source: Power Adapter

If I disconnected the power adapter, Mac turns off immediately. Do I get a dead battery from ifixit?

I tried to reset NVRAM/PRAM and SMC, not helping at all.

Thanks,

First what was happening with your old battery? Next download and run Coconut battery and let's get a better idea of what's going on with the battery>

Why don't you give them a call or email on getting a fresh battery to be sure.

CoconutBattery is stating the battery is full which is why it's not charging. So the only thing I can think of is the circuitry within the battery is defective if you did a the SMC reset correctly.
