iPod goes on pause if their is presure on the screen

Dear Sir/madam,

I recently repaired my headphone-jack, and after i reasembled the ipone it worked perfect for about a day, but then whenever i put a little bit of presure on the top of the screen the ipod goes on pause and if i press again it goes on play so if it's in my pocket it goes pause/play etc. This is not the case if it is on speaker or if i have earplugs without a speaker in it.

Do you maybe know how i can fix this? I lost one of the three red screws in step 19, can this be it?

thank you,

Sebastiaan

i'd recheck that no 5 cable is on properly. unless the phone is somehow going silent on/off I can't see why 1 screw missing would make the difference.

I rechecked every cable now 2 times but it doesn't solve the problem, and the lightest touch makes the ipod to go on pause so i don't think it's a connection problem.

Any other thoughts?

So something is jumping the connection (duh I hear you say) the only option is to redo the whole job again. Keep an eye out for any damage to the flex- kinks/breaks etc which might account for the short.
