How can I unlock my iPhone carrier?

hello

I had purchase an iPhone second handed, and when I bought it the phone had no carrier meaning I was allowed to connected at any cell phone store but when I connected it to boost mobile and tryed swiching comanys they couldnt help me that i had to call a service number they couldnt do anyhing I called BOOST MOBILE once again they told me to call the apple costumer serves then the told me to call sprint and I have just been here and there waiting I don't have a phone to go on calling or even the money to buy myself a new phone if I could get a straight answer on how to fix this issue

I believe you have to take it to the previous carrier. Only the carrier can unlock your iPhone. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201328

I agree with the comment by Alec since you activated it with Boost Mobile they now have the IMEI number attached to their network. Boost has to release the IMEI or "Unlock" the phone from their network. As long as your all paid up it should not be a problem. Most people also do not know that there are two different types of unlocked. Factory unlocked it when the phone is purchased from Apple and is configured to work on all networks CDMA or GSM. Carrier unlocked mean you can use the phone with any carrier using the same type of network. For example AT&T is a GSM network and Sprint is CDMA. Phones from AT&T typically do not work on Sprints network. Hope this helps!
