As the topic say,
Im thinking of upgrading but Im not sure of what to buy. Atm It Wont boot up and i think its the graphics card. So i was thinking of just upgrade the logic board with something way better than what i have( base model)
Is this just stupid ? Or worth it?
Thinking of 800$ max.
Allready have ssd and 16gig ram in it.
And IF yes on upgrade what to buy?

Yes it's the Graphics Card. It took a class action law suit but here's how to get it fixed for FREE.
I would take it to an ASP rather than Apple as they get paid by Apple to do the work and will give you better service. While there, ask about the hard drive/IR cable and if it needs to be replaced or pads put in place to protect it.(that cable has known issues too.)

They will need to hook the machine up and run what they call the VST test over the internet with Apple. That test does not always show the defective chip (in your case it should) but if not ask them to run deeper tests.
