Does It Have A Sim Card In It?

by

try activating through iTunes if there is a baseband firmware issue then iTunes should recognize this in the restore process. the cpu sn. modem sn baseband memory or nand sn can cause activation issues

by

you can also download 3utools this will show you in the main window the capacity of memory, base-band firmware and iemi this tool also enables you to reflash but be aware the flash process could brick your phone but will identify the cause

by

Yes it has a SIM card and I've tried everything over and over in an attempt at activating the phone don't know what's going on???

I'm surprised nobody ask this but do you actually see an IMEI number displayed when you tap on the blue circle i icon on the setup lock screen?

Sounds like the baseband chip needs to either be replaced or reballed.

Yes, in my case the IMEI no. did show up.

I firstly thought it was a software problem. I don’t have time to actually take it back to the store yet but seemed that I have to do so if it is a problem with hardware.

Thanks for pointing out anyway.

Take out any sim card in it. Connect it thru Itunes or 3 u tool and just flash it.

What is your iOS version. I heard of that if iPhone 5s on iOS 11+, it could not be activate. You can aslo try to activate your iPhone with 3uTools.
