My battery will not charge

I replaced the battery on my MacBook A 1278 about a month ago, and it will not charge now. When it is plugged in I get a green light on my charger but it does not charge the battery and when the charger is unplugged the computer shuts off. Is there a fix for this or would I just have to purchase another battery?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Sorry about that, it is a late 2008 A1278 2 GHz 2 core DuO Unibody.

The report says, Current Charge 0mA, Max Charge 0mA, Design Charge 0mA, status poor, and 4 load cycles.

Did this new battery ever charge? Do you still have the old one, if so put it in and run Coconut battery.

I have the same problem after 6 cycles. Capacity is 66% of the reference capacity.

There is a known problem with an ic chip on the logic board on the 2.0 Ghz version of these MacBooks. It will run from a charged battery, but will not charge the battery itself.
