Can I swap M.2 SSD from 2014 MacBook Pro to 2014 MacBook Air?

Hi - I'm trying to recover data from a dead 2014 MacBook Pro (due to liquid damage) and was wondering if the M.2 SSD in this laptop would work inside a 2014 MacBook Air. I'd be looking just to boot off of it from the Air so I can back up the data, then go back to the Air's original SSD.

Will I run into any problems by doing this? Thanks!

Yes, the 2014 SSD in the Macbook Pro Retina will work in the 2014 Macbook Air. The original SSDs are not M.2, so if there is an M.2 SSD in your original, you need to use an adapter.
