You would need a DVI to Thunderbolt adapter. Does your MBP have a FireWire port on it?

Apple sell a DVI to Mini Display Port (AKA Thunderbolt) adapter. This is the one I use now and it is very good. I have bought a third -party adapter before and it was really bad: loose fit, colored edges artifacts, and finally no video whatsoever. You get what you pay for, as the saying goes..

For the 20-inch or 23-inch Cinema Display:

You need the Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter pictured here (or a third-party equivalent).

For the 30-inch Cinema Display

You need the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter shown below. (There is no third-party equivalent as far as I’m aware.)

Apple no longer sells either of these adapters, but they can be found on sites like eBay and Amazon.
