Why Battery won't charge?
The charger is working fine with other MacBooks. On this MacBook the charger says (green) that the battery is fully charged—no matter what the charge indicator on the battery says. Another charger also shows green all the time, but does not charge.
The same charger can charge this battery in another MacBook.
I. e. the charger is ok, and the battery is ok.
Through About this mac I can see the following:
• The charger is not recognized.
• The charger is not charging although connected.
• Remaining capacity (mAh): 0 (although the battery indicator on the battery says different).
• Battery installed: No
My guess is that the connection from the charger socket on the MacBook to the battery is broken.
When the battery is charged in another MacBook and installed, every thing works just fine.
Any suggestion / solution is very welcome.
Regards, Kurt
P. S. It will not boot without the charger connected.
Is this a good question?
