Break camera socket on the logic board

I disassembled my optical drive, and when I was putting back the camera cable into the socket, I somehow broke the socket. Is there anyway I can find this camera socket without buying entire logic board? It looks like it is just soldered to the logic board

the only way to repair is with solder. It is not easy - in fact only extraordinary DIYrs have the tools and skills. An electronics shop may be able to help you.

the real problem is not the socket taken out, the problem is the black part of the socket with the pins broke to 2 parts, is that socket common in electronic devices?

the socket probably is common. but the knowledge how to change it, so common is not.... you need BGA equipment to get it out of there and that is just waaaay too expensive...

if i was you, i would try to find company able to do component repair.

i have succeeded in this task and had a few connectors replaced. in my A1278, they replaced keyboard connector and backlight connector, both pon motherboard. it have cost my cash, but laptop is working again, so why not.

you might want to consider not using built in camera and just buy any available in store... it is well cheaper, then having it repaired...
