What is this connector used for?

Upon opening my MacBook Pro a1226, I discovered an unused connector near the bottom of the motherboard - near the top right corner of the battery. It seems like one of those connectors suited for ribbon cables (the same type as the top case connector for the keyboard and trackpad) Do any of you have any idea what it could be good for?

I'm pretty sure it's a Apple only port that they use for diagnostics/board access. If someone could confirm that would be great.

Nothing inside the MacBook Pro plugs into that port when you get them new, so I don't know what that port could be used for. You can get a good view of the port from our guide. Look at steps 9-11.
