What do I do with my phone after it is fully water damaged?

I accidentally dropped my phone in the toilet and I need it to figure out my homework. How do I fix my phone and get the photos out of it?? I really need to finish my homework. My dad currently tried to get the water out of my phone and I put it in a bowl of rice. I also turned my phone on right after it fell in the water. Is my phone able to be saved or is it gone forever??????

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@dafish2016 this is just to detail the above given answers. First off, rice does not do anything. It is the equivalent of doing nothing. I suggest you treat it just like any other water damaged iPhone. The very first thing you want to do is to not try to restart, sync or otherwise try to use the phone. This may further damage your phone. The next thing to do is to clean it. Disassemble your phone using this guide. You must remove all the EMI shields. If you do not remove those, you are not cleaning 80% of your components. Then clean it with +90% isopropyl alcohol. Follow this guide , and even so it was written for a 3G all the points are still pertinent to your phone. While you clean your board, check for any obvious damage, like burned or missing components etc. When it is properly cleaned, replace the battery. All these steps are to avoid delayed failure caused by corrosion. Once all this is done, reassemble your phone and reevaluate. There is no other way of getting your pictures of the phone. If you cannot get it to power up then you cannot get to your files.

First, don't try to turn it on, charge it etc. also take it out of the rice, it is useless. Take the phone apart and clean all the innards except the screen and battery with 90% isopropyl alcohol. One it is cleaned and dry, give it a new battery and try to turn it on.

Okay first of all, never turn on / charging your iphone, it can be short circuit damage

Then go to apple repair to teardown all of yr device and let them wash clean it

Just it you can do, rice bowl and hairdryer usually doesnt fix it
