Is it a huge difference in speed/benchmarks?
Hello all. Let's say if you where just to compare the difference between the CPU of the 2011, to the 2012. Is it a huge difference in speed/benchmarks?

The best thing here is to review the EveryMac spec sheets for the two top performers of each year:
- MacBook Pro 15" 2.5 GHz i7 ( Late 2011)
- MacBook Pro 15" 2.7 GHz i7 (Mid-2012)
But like I said above the benchmarks are not the only thing you should focus on. The amount of difference:
- SingleCore 64: 2900 Vs 3350 {15.5% better}
- MultiCore 64: 10301 Vs 13136 {27.5% better}
Is just not that big a difference in the real world when working on simple text or web surfing. It's only when you are doing deep image processing, document indexing, or spreadsheet crunching you'll gain the benefit.
